Wearing matte lipstick like a pro
We all love a good matte lipstick but we do not like the dryness it brings along with it. To make your lips look hydrated you must exfoliate the lips and then apply a little lip balm. Exfoliation will ensure that there is no dead skin on the surface and lip balm will provide the moisture. Make sure you do not apply a lot of lip balm as it will defeat the purpose of matte lipstick. Matte lipstick requires constant care throughout the day if you notice any dryness go-ahead to apply a little lip balm over again.
Using a lip liner
Many people ignore this part and treat this as an extra product. A lip liner defines your lips giving them a perfect dimension. It is also a great lipstick hack for your lipstick to stay in place for a longer time. Use a darker lip liner if you want to make your lips look more fuller.
Preventing lipstick from transferring
Nowadays many non-transferable lipstick formulas are available but there are lipsticks that transfer too. If you have lipstick that transfers then all you have to do is to blot your lips using a tissue and then dab a loose powder on top of it.
For pigmented lips
It is okay to have few pigmented spots on your lips but while you apply lipstick the color of your lips may look a little uneven. So to even out the pigmentation just apply some concealer or foundation on your lips as a coat and go normal with applying lipstick.
