The one thing that is common for every woman with great hair is they oil their hair regularly. It is usually once or twice a week. Many of us have heard about hair oiling, many of us also indulge in these practices still we cannot get the best result.
Here are a few ways to get the most from your oils:
Use only pure oils
Many hair oils claiming to promote hair growth are usually loaded with mineral oils and other sorts of chemicals. These oils may provide you the temporary shine but in the long run, you are damaging your hair. Using a cold compressed variant of your oil will ensure you get the most nutrients out of your oil. A blend of equal parts of olive oil, coconut oil, and castor oil has known to be the best for hir growth.
Properly applying hair oil
Hair oil is supposed to be applied on the scalp and not on the hair ends because your hair grows out from the scalp. If you have frizzy hair, make sure to apply some sort of leave-in conditioner or hair serum after the hair wash. Applying hair oil on frizzy hair will mean you have to use extra shampoo to remove that oil which again will cause more dryness.
Using essential oils
Using a few drops of essential along with your oil will help your hair health. But using an excess of excess oil will cause damage and irritation to your scalp. Tea tree oil, rosemary oil, and lavender oil are great for hair but they may not suit every person. Make sure to a patch test before using them on yourself.
Apart from all these, hot oil treatment is great for your hair. Make sure you are not directly heating the oils. Use a double boiler method to lightly warm your oil before applying it to your hair. It will ensure our hair oil still has all the nutrients in it.
